Currently on view virtually at Nucleus Portland in Portland, Oregon are brand new works by artist Sterling Hundley.
Hundley’s drawings and paintings give form to imperceptible phenomena. Drawings and paintings are developed over long periods of time, often through multiple sittings. Exposure over time avails unseen patterns and connections between people and the places that they share. Drawings from this series have been developed from Hundley’s embedded experience within the VCUHealth system, shadowing surgeons and their patients from clinical consultations to the operating rooms in the Burn Center and Cardiothoracic Units.
